The ability to remain cool, calm, collected and in control. Even when a police officer is not dealing with a criminal, they are probably catching an otherwise law-abiding citizen at their worst time -- in a fight, drunk, traffic offense, etc. The "suspect" is already angry and/or in a precarious condition. The police officer is not. Don't let the perp's problem become your problem. It's not always easy. These idiots can certainly push your buttons. The reason you wear that badge instead of them is because you have been trained to handle idiots like them.

So… two months ago I started a gig as a CD. Good agency. Very talented people. Pretty quickly I realized that my new job is kinda about keeping up with incoming emails/teams messages. I can’t handle it. For the last month I have been sleeping in, getting out of bed after 11am, like I prefer. Those notifications start coming at around 8am and all I do is press those suggested replies on teams, not even half awake, pretty much still dreaming, and it works. I’m getting lots of good feedback.
