Finally! Consequences! Love it!
Chief
Our boys got to play this week. Of course, they didn't win, and I think it is sad. Some of the boys are really good, however many of the others are just arrogant and act tlike they know it all. I think it is a bit funny, because the girls are winning most of their games, and the same boys who are yelling at them and telling them how to play are not even coming close to playing well. They are just strutting around and acting all tough on the court.
Consequences are naturally motivating. 🤩

Oh for real! So many of our kids already have older siblings or parents in the system.
Wait, what? Nobody told us there would be consequences! Seriously, I have students who seem to have never faced consequences for anything. And any little curtailment of bad behavior is met with utter shock and disbelief.

Seriously, they act like "what did I do" or "why are you doing this? I'm gonna call my mom!"
Keep it up!

We all died the other day after school when the coach was making them run the halls and the stairs. She announced over the speakers, "You gonna disrespect our teachers-you gonna run!" "You'll think twice before dog a teacher again!" She made them run the halls and up and down the stairs.
This is a great way to show consequences. It's a step in the right direction. Bet they take class work a little more seriously.

It is now happening that some of the students are getting kicked off the team.
Unfortunate that that has to happen, but they need to learn that their actions have consequences. Preferably when they are young. Hopefully they learn from this experience and can make better choices in the future.
This needs to happen more but unfortunately this is not the norm!

The sad thing is some parents blame the teachers when their kids have to face the consequences of their behavior. It always seems to be someone else's fault.
