We do gather input from staff, but I really don’t think it gets factored into our wage policy. At the end of the day, everyone feels underpaid, and that’s the feedback we provide. Leadership doesn’t seem to act on it, which is why we have so much turnover.
Pro
Agree - they see all the complaints but still say they pay fairly and competitively which might be true for new employees but for candidates internally who don’t get bonuses or get promoted are lucky if they get 3% merit every year. What leadership should be doing with the feedback is create ways to incentivize the workforce.
Ask employees what they think they should be paid? 😂 No, we don’t do that
