Is it worth getting a CFE certification as a litigator? Currently working as a prosecutor handling complex frauds. No plans to ever go private again unless it’s as a solo, ideally after getting that sweet pension to vest. Not sure if it’s just a marketing thing or an actual skill set.

Anyone work at PwC in forensic accounting or fraud investigation type roles? How does someone make connections in that area. Would love to offer to help out on even mundane task to build experience and earn hours for the CFE exam.

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I wanted to understand I have done BBA and after that MBA in banking as minor and have been working as Fraud investigations Advisor I want to advance in my career so which certification is good CAMS or CFE, the Investigations I am currently doing are system automated we just have to follow the SOP and take action on the account, can anyone guide me how to proceed further in my career path and which certification can help me to advance in my career. I’m thinking of taking an full time opportunity I’m not particularly excited about to get out of my current role. My interest lies in the compliance/legal field but it’s very difficult to get fellowship opportunities at my current company. I have a CFE certification, but no real experience in the compliance area. I was thinking I could do a part time or contract job in compliance to get a little exposure and break into this area..but I’m not sure where to start. Can anyone provide any tips pls?

Wondering for anyone who got their CFF (Ceritified Financial Forensics) designation. Was it difficult? How long does it take to study for using the review course? Any advice on getting into the fraud industry as a fraud analyst, forensic accountant, etc.? I have 12 YOE in accounting in various industries (healthcare, banking, & nonprofit). BBA in Accounting, MBA, Enrolled Agent (EA) & a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). I currently own/operate a small accounting firm where I help businesses of various industries. I'm looking to go back to corporate full-time/remote for more stability & better health insurance for my for my family & me.

Is it just me or does Canada have the worst requirements for CPA? Everywhere else its 4 or 5 exams. Here you have to go through 4 exams of CPA PEP and then two capstones to just qualify for the 3 day CFE exam. And then on top of all that, the salaries are so bad for Accountants here. Is it even worth it?

What are the cheapest study materials to study for the CFE? I didn’t want to pay out 1k+ for the prep course from ACFE.

How does one transition from a career accounting to fraud examination? I recently achieved the professional designation as a certified fraud examiner.

Any help on how to start my job search, I have been trying to check Indeed and LinkedIn but with no luck so far. Any advice would be much appreciated. I would like one of the big 4 companies

Hey guys ive been at my company for more than 2 years and there is a good work life balance but there is no more growth here. I plan to write the CFE exam next year in May so im wondering whether its a good time to switch right now or after writing my exam?

Rising audit senior thinking of pivoting to forensics. Not sure if I want to stay at EY, but should I wait to get any forensics certification until I make the switch? Also, is it better to have a CFE vs. CFF? I already have my CPA

My current goal is to work in audit for a few years and then get a related forensics degree & the CFE then switch over to forensics at my firm. Any thoughts for how long I should be in audit before making the switch? Context: I really enjoy my job so far and am about to move to staff 2.

Could I get the hang of a Sr Accountant (financial reporting team) role quick enough to avoid getting fired with 4 YOE in forensic accounting? Have my CFE; No CPA, but passed FAR/AUD.

Is there anybody who can share the requirements needed to take CFE exam, the usual timeline to finish it and how much is the estimated cost of the exam and materials? Thanks in advance 🙂
