The section in the article about clarity resonates with me. I make an effort to write clearly, and in today's world being able to communicate is really akin to a superpower. In workplaces full of buzzwords and trite phrases, I always feel that being able to explain things succinctly has helped me a lot.

Really listening and being able to build on that. The more you can actively listen and think about that, the easier it is to see how things work and improve upon that. I really attribute that to a lot of me sticking out (in a good way) and moving up at work. I’m not always right, but being able to contribute something is meaningful.

I'm very friendly! I always try to find something in common with someone...use the hear and now technique to show you genuine listen and care, I actually do care. I treat everyone with respect and as an equal. I treat people kindly even when they aren't the nicest. I just find it goes a long way in the end. I also help out whenever I can...or provide insight or ideas for problem solving.

I currently work in Atlanta for a healthcare management company that is local to the area. I just got into the healthcare industry and have my bachelors degree in health science. I work in a position in the revenue cycle and I am looking to possibly get a new job in a more established company. I want more stability and opportunity within a company. Does anyone know of any places in/around Atlanta or remote that may fit this criteria? Sorry for the vagueness. Thanks!

I duno about you guys, but one benefit of remote work is not having to listen to fellow consultants complain because they didn't get upgraded or they had some silly travel issue. 👍

Looking for a remote/hybrid/onsite (Calgary,Alberta) job for my boyfriend who got almost 5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP, RFI and bid management for a civil engineering firm. He also got an MBA, non drinker, non smoker, clean driving abstract and very polite. He gave out tons of cv in indeed job posters for the past 5 months, ends up becoming the filler candidate, took a huge toll in his mental health and we are going through some very rough patches. Can anyone please kindly help?

If you miss the ‘Golden Age’ of television, I highly recommend tuning into Sean, Laura, and Tucker on FOX. An argument can be made that they are the Sopranos, The Wire, and Breaking Bad of their format. Unlike those works of fiction however, these shows and their respective hosts provide insight into our real world in a way no screenwriter ever could.

Any recs for relatively affordable low-key trainers/gyms/programs around? I gained the COVID 50 (ugh) and am pretty embarrassed about my current shape so I don’t want to jump into a full group fitness class just yet. I’d like to start with some solo workouts but still have the accountability of a group fitness like Orange Theory (which I was pretty into pre-COVID). Also “affordable” meaning I can basically use the annual $1k fitness subsidy we get from Uncle D and pay minimal out of pocket.
