I work in a position in the revenue cycle and I am looking to possibly get a new job in a more established company. I want more stability and opportunity within a company. 3rd yr here in a mid size firm. I’ve been struggling in the mental health dept. I was on leave for 3 wks and have returned to work in June. However, i still feel like a corpse everyday and have zero motivation to do anything. I have noticed my work product declining and I feel extremely burnt out with no hope for the future. Higher offers at 27-28 with more fixed pay is from contract and hire/fire type companies. Mostly indirect hiring instead of direct employment with the final employer, means higher pay with lower jon security - we get little more pay, companies get the option to let go with ease later!

I’m a scheduler in a major hospital, see my position in other departments being advertised as remote available. How can I successfully negotiate WFH? I’d like to cut down on my 44-mile one way commute.

Background: I’ve been in my position for 1 yr. I have 20 yrs military experience, bachelors in Business. I took an entry level $15/hour job to get my foot in the door. I’m actively looking for a promotion. But 44 miles plus gas & business casual clothing on $15/hour is killing me.

I have been working the same position for 5 years. But our job title has changed a few time I went from a pre registration rep to a verification specialist during my time there I want to branch out but not sure where to go from here. I have a bachelors in Health Science. 5 years experience dealing with patients, insurance, referral, data entry, etc.

How do I keep my team engaged when I am also struggling to stay motivated?

Our department has had a lot of turnover within the last few months, all of which were from different reasons (school, family issues, opportunities close to home, etc.). It has been a challenge to divide the workload, while still trying to remain flexible and provide a work-life balance.
