Your insurance company will cover a fee, equal to a certain base model. Spectra is well regarded as a good choice for a plus up from there. She may also want a Haakaa or similar for catching excess production post feed. She may also want a hand pump , a bra that holds the pumps in place (hand or auto), and freezer bags made for milk. Pro tip, write the expiration date, not the creation date. No one can do date math with a screaming baby.
Use hospital grade. Wife told me that keeps milk isolated from the air
Spectra was it. They have a battery operated one that would be good
Medela.
My wife used a Medela Symphony. That thing was frighteningly efficient, and reasonably quiet
Medela
This is for consulting dads you perv...
P1 - Ordering for my wife. Relax
Spectra S2 is really good - dealmaker for me was when I saw a comparison chart that showed its ability to (1) be quiet enough for conference calls (2) control the strength and speed of pumping and (3) has a light for pumping at night
Insurance company may cover certain makes / models if that’s of interest.
The one EY gave my wife for free
Wife used Medela. They seem to have the best recommendations and what most hospitals use.
Wife used medela and loved it
Thanks guys. Madela it is!
Im sure you got this covered, but just in case, your insurance should pay for this
Medela freestyle by far, my wife has had 3 different ones (medela, ameda) and the freestyle is far and away better. Also nice that insurance paid for it
