Here’s the question…
Stay in my current Product Manager role at General Motors (avg salary, not learning/progressing PdM space, good wlb, lots of work but lots of politics, messy process and conflicts with other teams) OR move into a Senior PdM at Mapbox (higher salary, RSUs, unknown culture, unknown wlb, etc.). Mapbox is intriguing because I feel like it will help me grow as a product manager, but I’m a little worried this may be “grass is greener on other side” scenario.

Hey guys need help evaluating two offers: offer A: technical product manager, TC 110k. Offer B: product analyst, TC 140k. Offer A offers better work exp and I want to do PM work, offer B pays more and has the potential to internal transfer to a PM role within a year, but it’s obviously not guaranteed. You can assume that everything else is ok. HCOL area for both offers

What salary to expect being a first time product manager, but having around one year experience in a sales role, in Ontario?

Good morning, I am a recent under-grad and working as a BI Developer. I’m looking at transitioning to a project or product manager role and I have 1+ YOE. I know the job market is not that great as of now but I’ve applied to countless PM roles and have had no success. How can I transition from Program Manager role to Product Manager role?

Hey all, transitioned from the military last spring and got a UX product manager position at a bank.

Pay is good, but missing the mission aspect of work. Have interview offers from Microsoft and Amazon for cleared PM work, but most of them are less product manager work and more adjacent program work.

This might just be grass is greener thinking, but would love to hear if you have made the transition if you enjoy cleared PM work or do you wish you stayed in the non-cleared space?

I’m concerned about the specificity on analytics products since they tend not to have all the same features (UI, etc.) that non-analytics products do. I joined current company 3 months ago but I’m thinking of leaving. Great pay, career growth opportunity, supportive manager, and gaining leadership experience by managing and hiring the team. However I really do not enjoy the job. It is so uninteresting. It’s a BI Manager role.

I then got a new job offer today to become a Product Manager for a startup that raised its Series B. I want to take it because it’s a great opportunity to try out something new but I feel guilty. What do I do?

How technical is the technical product manager role at Amazon? I just got a message but my background is management consulting, such as growth strategy and operating model design, so I am as non-tech as it gets

Had an initial convo with the recruiter for a Sr Product Manager (Technical) role at Amazon onsite in Seattle (no remote) and he said the avg all in package they’re targeting is 180-190k. That’s 50-60k less than avg than what I’ve been seeing on fb and levels. I know that the band goes all the way up to 300k also. Currently making 200k all in and in a city 35% cheaper. The role is also a perfect fit for my background (7 yrs related experience), 3-4 yrs of other work experience.

I’m a Junior product manager with a Master’s in Healthcare Management. I feel like the current company that I am at has my title as JPM, but I am doing PM work i.e creating product roadmaps, collaborating across stakeholders (business, marketing, design teams), creating user stories/features, etc. and I feel like my work isn’t being valued and I’m constantly being micromanaged by business teams expectations.

Im working with Optum for the past 3 months as a Sr Product Manager. A recent reorg has me reconsidering my role here.
I am in final rounds of interviews with Resmed, Kaiser Permanente, CVS Health and J&J for the same role. These companies are offering 20-30K more than Optum.
Any insight on any of these companies? Specifically in product management teams? Work life balance, product appeal, travel requirements, benefits etc.... Thanks!

I got a Product Manager offer from an established consumer tech company (~2B market cap). What I’m trying to determine is, all else equal (location, YOE, responsibilities, etc) what is the % difference in TC between a PM role at a “smaller” tech company (like GoPro) vs a mid level one (like Spotify) vs a large one (like FAANG)? If we arbitrarily call TC 100k at the small end what’s the proportional TC at the mid and larger sized companies? I recognize growth plays in, but want a general sense

Currently at 5 YOE making 101k in a MCOL city. Was offered a product manager position at a company I’ve partnered with in the past. Thinking I could pull in between 140-160k based on the conversation. I actually like consulting and travel (if it comes back) along with having an office with coworkers compared to being fully remote. Am I being dumb not taking it or just wait a year or two and be there in consulting anyways..?
