Why do recruiters ask for salary before sharing their range? I gave a number aligned with my last role and now worry I anchored too high. The position fits my experience closely. How do you answer without boxing yourself in?

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. Is this something I should even consider? I miss my patients and some of my coworkers and the pay is better, but I don't feel like I would really be welcome to come back.

So I started a new job a few months ago at an agency. Though my work performance is good I have been extremely stressed and anxious nonstop since day one. The work pace and load is significant. Even my spouse can tell a difference in me. The pay is good, but at what point is your mental health worth more than a paycheck? Is this new job blues or is this a sign of toxicity? Should I stay or should I go?
