Why do some Christians always say God is in control and act like that means nothing bad will ever happen to them? It’s so annoying. Bad things happen to Christians sometimes. I believe in the sovereignty of God too but just because God can doesn’t always mean He will. It bothers me when people stick their head in the sand and pretend nothing bad can ever happen and expect me to do the same.

My husband and I regularly attend (virtually lately) a church we love, however there’s not a great way for us to connect by way of a small group (We’re in our late 20s and I’d say the average age in our church is 50 so all the groups are geared towards parents with adult children, things like that). How do you find ways to connect outside of church?

What are you all doing for Thanksgiving? How f do o you like to spend in a normal year? Any different this year?
