Hi PwCers: have an intro call coming up for a deals strategy role within pwc. Have more of a financial diligence background but have worked on a few large transactions where I worked closely with CDD. Any tips on how to best position myself in the intro calls?

Also what is the difference between Deals Strategy between pwc vs S&? The descriptions seem fairly equal to me.

Any input you can share on potential comp for HCOL at the SC level would be helpful as well. Thank you!

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

Considering pivoting into a local MM IB. As my title suggests, my technical skills aren’t as honed as one who has focused on the analysis route. How much of being an Analyst at a smaller IB is technical skill heavy coming into the role? I hold my 7, 66, 24, and am not worried about getting the 79. Any input for how realistic this is? When looking at one particular firm’s career page it doesn’t mention technical skills or modeling once, which led me to believe it may be less important than soft.

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any

My 5yr old son and 3 yr old daughter love watching Ryan’s World videos. My son said it will be awesome if Ryan can come to our church. I’m not sure if Ryan is a Christian. I told my son that we should pray that Ryan will get to know Jesus and he could one day come to our church. Now Ryan and his family is included in our prayer every night before going to sleep. I never thought about praying for the people that are in the videos my kids watch. Jesus can use Ryan to change world.

Do you think being Christian and ambitious is compatible?

Our god is an awesome god 🙌 feeling like it’s easier to get through the rough times. Can finally go to church and worship after so long that I couldn’t!!

My husband and I regularly attend (virtually lately) a church we love, however there’s not a great way for us to connect by way of a small group (We’re in our late 20s and I’d say the average age in our church is 50 so all the groups are geared towards parents with adult children, things like that). How do you find ways to connect outside of church?

Just remember in the midst of the chaos who sits on the throne and who IS King no matter who the president is.
