Is there any company which gives same salary for the whole band?
I don't think it's possible to fit people in same band and same salary all the time, inthat case every yearly hike will be same for everyone.
And Ford upgrades salary based on market corrections every 4-5years once.
Whats your comment on these scenarios, if a low performer gets same as top performer in the same band, two of my sg08s doesn't perform well and sg07 and 06s performance is good some are better than the 08', so should they get fired or downgraded?.
One sg08 is extremely good and can't be promoted to LL06 because of his/her people skills should the person be kept at same zone as other low performers or average people?
To tackle performance difference and provide better opportunities Ford has changed the salary structure multiple times.
