Got feedback when I was talking to a recruiter internally for my company (UHG) -- I do internal strategy consulting and they refer to me as a senior manager but my title in the system is senior project manager...
Applying for a new role within the company and switching job families. Said that the title is a hang up for them although they really like my background and work.
Anyone else come across this? Should I be concerned?
how can i address my director to ask why i was passed up for a promotion? i’m interviewing a senior project manager and i’m confused as to why i wasn’t even considered for the position. i’ve been working my ass off and she’s been saying nothing but compliments to me
I’ve been working with a startup for 2 months as a UX Designer - they are so unorganized so I’m wondering how I can show my process in a case study when they aren’t keeping track of metrics or KPIs or anything else because they are moving so fast. Any advice?
Interviewed at PWC Finance transformation, it’s 5 days, haven’t heard from the recruiter yet. When do I expect a response ?
Nice job Wells Fargo. Always in the news for wrong reasons.
Has anyone interviewed for Facebook finance roles? What is the final round like? Are there cases or scenarios?
So I’m waiting on an offer from one company but they’re taking their time. I’m also entering into or have finished final interviews with 2 other companies. I obviously don’t want to stop those interviews while waiting for an offer. Is it okay or normal to use those interviews to try and speed up the offer delivery? Or is that a no-no?
How do promotions work in your company? (Include your industry if you want).
Are there regular title bumps based on tenure and work quality? Can you only be promoted by applying for open roles? Is your big on creative hierarchy and reporting structure by letting people become managers and mentors to more junior people? (Jr. reporting to sr. reporting to ACD reporting to CD etc?)
I took a phone call interview in a room next to my CD's office during work hours. NO RAGRETS. I'M YOLO.
Can I take anything else away from this response that I received from a hiring manager re. a thank you email that I sent, other than them being courteous?
"It was a pleasure to meet you and enjoyed getting to know about your experiences and how it could apply to the gap we are looking to fill, particularly your modelling skills."
Some context... I interviewed for an experience FP&A/strategy role at a late stage startup. I received this reply the morning-after my final interview with them.
I have a three hour panel interview tomorrow which I'm assuming is to talk about my business plan. I have 5 interviews equaling 30 minutes each. Wish me luck!
Are they hiring at EY right now? Had a recruiter interview 2 weeks ago for a senior consultant position in the Supply Chain team. No response about the next steps yet. The recruiter tells me that the hiring managers are not responding. Baackground: I was referred more than a month ago. The recruiter reached out to me 4 weeks after submission. Very positive response from recruiter but no movement even after 2 weeks. Is this normal? Or is the impending economic slowdown slowed down recruiting?
Currently in Industry and potentially making a shift to consulting (have an interview lined up with McKinsey). But not sure if I will like the consulting life. My SO is a consultant so I know what to expect in terms of routine. I love the idea of consulting and being able to work on different projects, learning new things but also very nervous about the lifestyle change. Any thoughts on how you ladies deal with the M-F travels?

Thank you!
I have an upcoming interview for a campaign manager position at Walmart. Any advice on the position or insight into salary? Glassdoor wasn't really helpful.
An ad agency asked me come up with creative concepts for a campaign as a job interview writing test. They are willing to pay me but on a project basis rather than an hourly rate. I’m a junior writer, how much should I charge (I have no clue about freelance rates)?

Why does it feel like so many iOS developer and Python developer jobs are looking for “senior” developers and not really entry/mid level?
I have 2 years of experience as a software engineer at ford where i used Ford’s OLD ASS tech stack and now I’m trying to pivot to roles that don’t use technologies literally from the 1980s. iOS seems future proof in that sense
I have about 3 months of experience in iOS development and I made my own app, but it got rejected from the App Store…. ( see here: https://joinfishbowl.com/post_w7sy5xohcj )
