Thoughts on a Omega De Ville Prestige as a first luxury watch? Would be ~$7.5K USD at retail. Some friends have said great things about Omega as a starter, whereas others say it’s not worth it over a Rolex Oyster Perpetual (which would be similar in cost).
I personally love how clean the design is, the use of gold, and the thinner band as it links the watch … find the Rolex band design to be too chunky.

You can’t go from 0 to 100 in a couple of months before Ramadan so the best thing to do is set a longer timeline to go from 0 to 100 but just accelerate your progress during Ramadan. You will have a free lunch hour, so can use that time to do something more spiritual eg read more nafl salat, read Quran, memorize a couple of verses, read ahadith, etc
In general, give your moments with Allah the same respect and attention you would give a work meeting. What do you normally do for a work meeting? I imagine some combination of blocking your calendar, figuring out what exactly you want to get out of that meeting, and drafting an agenda and plan for achieving that goal. Same thing for this kind of stuff, eg:
“I want to memorize more Quran”
“Let me block 1 hour during the day - if someone says are you free, I’ll say no”
“Which surah / verses am I trying to make progress on? How much can I realistically memorize in 1 hour?”
“Do I want to carve out the last 5 minutes of this hour to pray 2 rakahs where I recite what I just memorized to help me reinforce it?”
Don’t have to follow this to a T of course but just some food for thought. May Allah SWT reward your intentions and bless your efforts
This is great advice, thank you
The tendency is to plan for many things - esp when I'm overzealous - which isn't always realistic. Small, consistent goals are the answer. I feel my energy dips in the middle 10 of Ramadan so it's all about bringing my attention back and being kind to myself when I'm flat out.
Thank you for this reminder M1

Time for all those in their haram relationships to take a pause from their lovers. And for the part-time Muslims to lock in again 🤣🤣🤣
