1L student demographic changes across the T14 in a post affirmative action world:
Asian student headcount +438, Black headcount -83, Hispanic headcount -78, Mixed headcount -79, White headcount +102, Unknown Race +266. Total student count +159. I’m thinking the rise in Unknown is likely students of color opting out of checking a box.

My first big case was a wake-up call. I was so focused on the legal intricacies that I nearly missed a crucial filing deadline because I was trying to handle everything myself - from client intake to actual courtroom appearances. That experience taught me the value of systems and delegation, but it also made me think: How do you scale and grow in our practices without losing the personal touch that sets us apart? Hoping other attorneys with private practices will chime in!!

How do you go about finding partners/senior associates who are willing to train you? Someone who has the time to care about your development. I just think I'd do much better with a good mentor, and I'm one to learn and adapt very efficiently. Statistically and from personal experience, people of color get less billable work/ work that we have to be trusted for. Some published articles state that POC is disproportionately affected by this. How does one get past this disadvantage? I'm frustrated
