Is it worth trying to break into big law if I've been practicing for several years and am planning on starting a family soon? I am currently in house at a F500.

I probably wouldn’t, but that’s your call. If you do, be prepared for a potential class year cut (possibly several) and to always be ‘on.’ The money is good, but unfortunately, your time will be much more limited.

For the right reasons, yes it is very worth it. But do you have a plan for how you can break into big law? It is much harder the more senior you get

Do you have any tips you can share on how to break into big law? Thanks in advance

Hey y’all. I went through an exceptionally traumatizing experience a few years ago that has totally & utterly shattered my confidence, self worth, self esteem etc. I have a hard time portraying my work experience + deserving of a new role.

For context, I did well in uni, got into law school but due to finances + the experience in question I didn’t end up going. Kept working in the public sector as a coordinator & now got my scrum master certificate to transfer to SM role in finance/ tech. Help
