I was asked a really weird question in my interview for a job: You are standing in a boat on a lake holding a rock. You throw the rock into the water. What happens to the water level?

I got really flustered because it seemed like a simple question, but I wasn't sure of the answer. In fact, I'm still unsure of the answer. Does anyone want to answer it?
