Personally, I don't think being loyal to a company holds much value. You can be the most loyal person ever, but if it's better for business that they let you go then they will without hesitation. It's best to make sure to always think of yourself in those situations and make sure you're working somewhere where you can have the most success and growth, and know to move on if you aren't in a good situation.
In my experience, 100% no.
Even when I was at a great company, sometimes things happen out of leadership’s control and layoffs happen.
There are some exceptions, but for the most part, you are doing yourself a disservice to blindly stay at the same company for a long time. You shouldn’t feel pressured to have to make a change, but keep your eyes open and don’t pass up a good opportunity just to stay “loyal”.
As a company insentive , I don't think so. However, I have seen it pay off as a personal factor that you may become far more skilled in an area than if you bounce around more and are a jack of all trades and master of none.
YES YES 1000% in the companies profit, your supervised bonus, partners increased proffits
But you as employee, none, zip, zero, 0%, nada.
Nope. I am dealing with that now. I have been model employee. Clean employee record. Above and beyond employee. I had a minor infraction recently, now I am being suspend from work "pending investigation". My career hangs the in balance. They will throw you to the wolves they first chance they get. I hate the mercenary tactics, but companies force you nowadays to embrace them.
