Best consulting firms without the massive ego?
Hey Guys,
I got a call from Infosys HR on 16-September-2022 that I have been successfully selected for the job position of Test Analyst at Infosys, as per our conversation I have to receive an offer letter within 15 days, but I haven’t received it till now.
Now They have sent a mail that your Candidature is on hold. Is this happened with anyone else also.
Please do suggest on this guys.

OP if you aren't able to find anything it could be because the job market really sucks right now. I have friends who have been looking for jobs for months and having very little success.
Yep. I have been applying for about 3 months now. With nothing to show for it yet. I have been bolstering my resume and network and connecting with new people to try to expand my network base. Getting involved with SHPE as well. Its tough in the market with all thwse professionals looking for jobs too.
Your background as a test technician will put you in front of others without that same experience. In the R&D/testing realm, that is highly valued. I cannot speak to other functions though. One thing I will say is if you are using the technician position as a foot in the door and are not doing things to prove yourself, you will falter. people see that. In the years I've spent in testing and R&D, I've seen ME degree holders come in and make waves as a technician because they spend more time finding their next role than doing their actual job. don't be that engineer. Keep in mind also that if you stay in testing, you will always be working with technicians who you are directing so the experience you have as a technician now will help build rapport with technicians if you move into an engineering role.
Stay in there brother I have 25 years in mechanics still have trouble 👍🏽
That is a blessing. And it juat goes to show you were at the right place and right time and were prepared.
Yeah it just sucks that I was never able to land an internship. I think thats what really hurt my chances for that engineering experience. I started looking heavily for internships back in 2019 then covid hit. 2020-2021 thejob market was dead and so was the need for internships and etc. Being from New England this is a surprise. 2022 was when i got the test technician job and since then i have been struggling to find an actual mechanical engineering gig. Had a couple interviews at my current job (mechanical engineer and manufacturing engineer) and no luck due to the lack of engineering experience which is absurb since being hired within the company is their goal.
