New York Big Law
6th year litigation associate here. Every recruiter tries to scare me into thinking I’m unhireable after next year. Who has lateraled as an 8+ year, where to, and how long till you got promoted after?
I'm faced with 9,000 emails and I have to decide what's responsive to a discovery request. Do I review enough to get a gist of the personalities and narrative or read every single email?
What’s your firm’s policies for snowdays? Looking outside right now and want to work from home under a blanket
Any suggestions for farming work? Also, sorry for weird job title. Messed it up when I was setting up the profile. I'm a first year who's not admitted yet.
How many hours will you bill this year? If you have ever been spoken to about needing to bring up your hours, how low were they?
My firm just switched to unlimited vacation days. People whose firms already have this policy, how's this policy actually work in reality? Do you take less days than you used to?
What length of vacation do you usually take? I’m a big fan of taking many 4 day weekends (instead of 1 or 2 longer vacays) but apparently those aren’t encouraged in the Big Law world?
Hi all, wanted to start a New York-specific big late bowl. Figured this is better for us since the NY market is very different from other Big Law markets in the US.
