If working for another PI firm on contract basis where they provide the cases and I do most of the work to resolve the case, what is a fair fee sharing percentage if not getting paid hourly?

What's better:

60k base with 5-10% (structured per quarter million)

95k base with 3/4% fixed prelit/lit

I think I know which way I'm leaning but I'm not 100% sold.

Ethical dilemma: I am an associate in a mid-size PI firm. The firm does not offer any sort of referral bonus/commission for bringing in cases, and I just got a good lead on a high value case. WWYD?
