Buckle up, it won’t be your last lol. My rule of them is as long as you’re in a place where 10% of your clients are nightmares instead of 90%, you’re golden.
Many times my friend. Many times. Sometimes you're in a rut and take cases you shouldn't. Sometimes the case seems good and turns into a nightmare. Sometimes you feel bad and want to help. Sometimes it's for a friend. Won't be your last
I am new to my firm and I guess to F with me they assigned me all their worst cases. I’m living a nightmare
That sucks, and sadly that’s typical of employers to do to new members in my experience. It’s why I’ve left many firms, I constantly got stuck with the most problematic cases/clients paired with the most toxic/laziest attorney in the firm. It drives me insane that they don’t just take the problematic caseload and either fire the egregious clients, or at least divvy up the problematic caseload to ALL of the attorneys evenly. All hands on deck, why should you be responsible for cleaning up someone else’s mess and take the responsibility for it alone?

I get assigned them and about 2% of all cases I handle I ask to withdraw from representation.
About 1 in 3 times my boss actually approves it.
Eject if you can, they only get worse!
All the time. Just know that the case will eventually end, learn from it, and move on.
Yes. The first time the client mentions firing you, politely make the decision for them and cut ties.
If not too close to trial date, have you considered withdrawing?
It is ok to fire clients. Had to learn that the hard way.
