You insurance defense? I suggest getting out asap.
Seriously though just because you started doesn’t mean you have to put this on your resume or anything. Just start applying to other stuff asap.

I only need to work about 35 hours a week to hit my goals but I work about 70 hours a week because I don't like being poor
I have a 45 hr base requirement
Pi ? Billing? Thats hell.
I left PI/Insurance defense for family and was so glad I did. I do not miss that billing hell. I never had weekends, evenings or holidays/vacations to myself. I was always expected to bill more than what was required 1700/yr (which isn’t bad/standard in my area)…and was inundated with so much work that required me to bill a lot more hours than what was required just so I could stay afloat. Would never go back. I was miserable and had no work/life balance despite my serious efforts.
They told me 100/month… so what is that, about 5/day? (Which is insanely easy to do and I’m usually done with that by noon). They don’t ever hold me to that requirement either. They focus more on just making sure I’m getting my work done and cases moving forward. They are very laid back and also very focused on having good work/life balance and allowing us to focus on family/personal life. It’s been a godsend to work for them.
