Whiskey bros, I am able to get my hands on a bottle of Blantons SFTB (straight from the barrel) for a little over $200. Is it worth the money?

I know this isn't Whiskey, but I needed this for the day I'm having. I hope you're all doing well and that you had a good 4th.

Update: I tried this again tonight, but this time neat. Nope. Just tastes really medicinal to me. Selling to a friend. Only had about 3 oz of it.

If you ever find yourself in the Seattle area, make sure you find your way to this distillery. You will not be disappointed, except when the bottle is empty.

Tonight's pour. First time trying. Smells like honey. A bit syrupy and rough, no real taste profile, and a long lasting burn. Verdict: Not my jam.

Finishing out the week with a simple scotch and ginger. I like Dewars for cocktails as it blends well. The ginger is Blenheim’s which is make-you-sneeze-insanely-spicy. A nice combo for a summer evening.
