Healthcare fish: single positioning for HCP and patient, or two different positionings? I’ve seen both ways and am curious to hear other perspectives. Thanks!
Senior leader resignation tips? I landed a brand side role with a big pay bump / benefits Am currently in a leadership role at an agency reporting to my ceo.
Am considering offering 3 weeks notice given my relationships and reputation with the agency, my growing team and our largest clients. I don’t think my ceo would fire me on the spot or can match salary/benefits, but he will be very upset.
Any tips to navigate resignation?
Currently interviewing for a WPP Agency in NYC. Anyone have any insight on benefits, PTO, etc..?
Hi, I have a 2nd interview with VMLY&R South Africa. Is it worth pursuing, what's the culture and benefits like?
Recently laid off and interviewing for new roles at the senior brand strat/AD/director level.
I am in the healthcare space - please tell me everything- companies to stay away from, salary ranges to expect, etc. Any info helps because I am looking to stay somewhere long term after being unexpectedly let go.
Let’s talk benefits for layoffs… Someone I know is likely going to have their role eliminated and word on the street is that the holding companies are offering fair severance, but only one month of health benefits. Does this seem out of line? Twitter and Meta seem to be offering more, but maybe because those are big shakeups? Discuss…
Meta Laying People Off:
Here’s 15 weeks full pay severance, recruiting assistance and free benefits for 6 months.
Holding Companies Laying People Off:
You have 2 hours to leave WPP’s offices or you will be dragged out by security.
What have people’s experiences been like with Omnicom’s health insurance plans? Is it Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna - which company is it? Do any of the plans cover therapy?
Why does the government cap us at $20,500 annual contribution to 401k? Why not let us give what we want?
Also, what do ya’ll do with your $ once you hit that cap? Just keep going or put it somewhere else?
I’ve been promised a promotion since Jan. ‘22, and each month it seems to get “delayed because of finance issues with client” (huge multinational corp.) and other issues with in house HR/finance depts. I absolutely love my job, my boss, perks, benefits, & it’s all remote. I can’t shake the feeling I’m being led on. Last update they gave was Oct. now they’re saying it won’t be until Dec. I’d hate to leave but I feel like it’s the only way to move up. All thoughts/similar experiences welcome. Thx.
What’s the ideal contribution to your 401k? Right now I put in like 22% but is that financially the optimum amount or is there a sweet spot?
Company matches 6%.
Would anyone be willing to share how much healthcare costs per month are in the US? For a family of 4 and how much your employer pays? Moving to the US and want to be prepared for the sticker shock!
This and many other labor strikes are unsurprisingly not getting any news attention.
Striking within our industry is possible and would greatly improve our collective bargaining ability.
I will never understand why we don’t organize amongst all the holding companies//agencies and demand better benefits, working conditions, and pay transparency. Every Q4 we all hold our breath to see what Scrooge ass agency is going to lay off half its staff. Why don’t we get a union?
Can anyone recommend any NY or remote agencies with strong creative that respect quality of life? I don't really get either at the moment and want to start hunting for something better. I'm new to this country so I'm not even sure where to begin.
Flexible time off, good employee benefits, actual ability to climb the ladder, actual raise potential, and excitement around creating strong campaigns...that's what I'm looking for! (Aren't we all) Any recs appreciated.
I’m client side now at a big corporation’s in-house agency and I cannot imagine going back to 60+ hour weeks, low pay, minimal benefits, and the uncertainty/anxiety of agency life.
Is anyone at a job they really, truly enjoy that also pays competitively (and has good benefits)? In my experience, I haven’t found anything that satisfies both. Either I love the job and I’m grossly underpaid or the job is totally mediocre but the money is great. Is it really possible to have it all or do I need to lower my standards? Maybe it’s just the way this industry is?
Hi all - any idea of maternity and paternity leave policies of IPG / McCann? Much appreciated!
Would a telehealth healthcare service/app count as pharma, and be career-limiting if I don’t want to be pigeonholed as a pharma planner?
Any head finance execs at ad agencies can chat about the overhead for an agency? Apart from office overhead (if any), there is payroll/taxes and any insurance/benefits for employees. Not to mention taxes on revenue. Am I missing anything?
Everything else just lines the pockets of the founders right?
I’m currently interviewing for an AS role which would be a bit of a pay cut, but I’ll get to learn a lot so I’m interested. Any tips on how to approach the negotiation convo if/when that comes, besides asking to at least meet me halfway re:salary? They already provide unlimited PTO and free health benefits(which is nice).
Marketing people who has worked at Apple and Nike, can you compare and contrast? Pros, Cons, Culture, Pay, Benefits, etc. I’m a creative with an art direction background and noticed a decent amount of ADs and Designers jumping from one to the other.
Creatives who left for tech. What is it exactly that you do now? Is it still writing or art directing? Or a different creative role? Hearing about people leaving for tech so I want to know what it means exactly aside from the benefits.
I have a big old dummy dumb dumb question. Starting my first non-staffing agency freelance job next week, should I try to incorporate as an LLC or just get paid as an individual contractor? Any benefits or risks to either? Thx 😎
What do y’all pay in healthcare premiums where you are? I’m looking specifically at employee + children.
My agency is small so I think they can’t offset costs like larger places do, but maybe I’m delusional and other places are just as pricey and this shouldn’t be the reason I go corporate.
Recruiter told me i’m on their top list, CDs love my portfolio. He even sent me company’s benefits already even before I have an interview with them. So I’d better not fuck that upcoming 30mins interview. Do you think that 30mins interview will be a more personality check or talking about my works more…? Or both..?
What kind of benefits does IPG health offer?
I've been fortunate to receive 3 written offers. Do I take a higher base (95%), lower bonus (5%), hybrid or lower base (80%), higher bonus (20%), remote? Plus, aren't bonuses taxed higher? Each are close in total package range ($250k), benefits, WLB, etc. Concerned about relying so much on bonus given potential economic downturn. Although, the company has paid bonuses 100% since 2018.
About to be laid off (was given a heads up) and curious what an “acceptable” vs. “poor” severance pay is? For context: been with the company 2 years, director level role, will not be needing cobra/health insurance - only interested in how many weeks pay I’ll receive. Thank you!
Just had a positive performance review 2 weeks ago - got a (small) raise and extra week of vacation. My primary client just asked me off the business today. Going on paternity leave in 3 months. Odds that I’m about to get fired?
Does anyone know what Accenture tuition reimbursement policy is for someone pursuing part time masters?

I’m taking a few calls for new opps at a couple different firms and wanted to get a pulse on feelings from folks who actually work there to help me narrow it down. Agencies are: Weber Shandwick, Ruder Finn, FleishmanHillard and a smaller boutique called LifeSci Communications. From The sounds of other threads on here, I’m nervous about WS. Looking for a read on Work/Life balance, how well staffed they are, avg pay range (VP level), PTO/holidays/benefits, etc. So, how do you like working there?
Recent college grad having a lot of trouble understanding if I should max my traditional or Roth IRA this year. I make 100k salary and made 60k from short term capital gains last year, but maxed my 401k. Does this mean I made too much to use a Roth this year?

How do you come up with your total compensation when talking to recruiters? Do you add benefits other than base salary and bonus? If so how do you estimate and support those numbers? Thanks 👽

I recently joined a firm doing general lit. The position was marketed as a match to my skill set. I’m doing nothing related my strengths and I’m languishing intellectually and professionally. In 12 months I’ve gone from loving law to wanting to quit the law altogether. I don’t have a book at all because my network consists of broke millennials and the pandemic makes it hard. Marketing told me the areas I want to practice aren’t big money makers. How can I find a better match?
