Hey everyone! IPG Health is thriving with new business wins, and we are hiring in every department! I am a boomerang to the network because honestly the agencies within IPG Health provides great benefits and colleagues. DM if interested!!
My last day at my current job is Wednesday and I’m not starting my new job until 10/4. My health insurance ends on midnight Wednesday. What should I do for those 10 days in between? Seems ridiculous to pay for COBRA for only 10 days.
Are any of the healthcare agencies more creative than the others? Or all about the same?
Should I take this new job? Been at current agency for a year, loved it and love my team. Pros: Benefits are great, as is the mentorship and work is generally quite stable. Cons: Lower paid The new agency is smaller and benefits aren’t as good but I’ll get a +45% pay increase and title bump. Work is different to what I’m used to which is both exciting and daunting (imposter syndrome will no doubt kick in!). Ideal situation would have been to stay in current role another year or two... help!
How much notice would you give for a future paternity leave? In the U.S. so it probably will last about a month.
Is WPP 401k Match a lump sum amount at the end of the year or do they do it monthly? If the former, does that mean if I leave before 12/31 I won’t get that match money?
What are some benefits to starting my career at a large agency vs small, and vice versa? I’m currently interviewing for both.
I’m trying to take a leave of absence and I need a medical professional to provide evidence for short term disability claim benefits but I haven’t been able to find a PCP or therapist for the past year. I can’t take unpaid leave since I need some income and my healthcare. I’m literally at rock bottom and so burnt out and stressed that I have almost daily anxiety attacks. I don’t know what to do. Anyone else been in this situation and any advice?
Can you provide advice to succeed/survive on the corporate client side? Moved away from agencies to corporate and it is SOUL SUCKING. Between the lack of flexibility (both personally and day to day), sterile environment, and millions of meetings a day I am going insane. The pay and benefits are dramatically better in this corporate role, but I won’t lie I am missing the freedom of agencies so much right now.
Are CPGs pushing more faux-health benefits than before? Or is society catching up to the bs?
Negotiating benefits for a new full time job. What are some things I should ask for? I hear there are work from home stipends these days, and I'd like a budget for continuing education that can help further my career, conferences and subscriptions. Are there signing bonuses any more? Bonuses at the end of year? Some full time jobs in the past I've gotten 100$ bonus others it was dependent on what we made and I got 5kish before taxes. Never actually negotiated before, please help!
OK, here’s a real toughie! What’s your advice (other than retire) for an older former Group Creative Director, who has been client side for the last 15 years? Please, don’t laugh. I’d love to go back agency side and not healthcare.
Hi IPG peeps. As an IPG employee, how long do I have to wait for my 401k 50% company match to kick in? Is it immediate or do I have to stay at IPG for a certain amount of time?
Looking at full-time and application asks for expected salary and then expected total compensation as a number. How should I figure out the second? Health insurance, bonuses, life insurance, equity, PTO? I studied art, not math.
I need to become a Media Manager/Planner/Buyer over night.—— Non-profit has 20-30k budget to inform ppl of certain gov. benefits in one state. I know social ads, but where can I learn optimal budget allocation? SEM? Freelancer workflow? (Client knows I'm winging it from day one).

Is there an easy way to calculate an hourly freelance rate? Say…I wanted to keep an equivalent lifestyle to a $150,000 annual salary, what do I need to make hourly to match that knowing I won’t receive benefits. And should it be higher because it’s freelance?
You ever hate the field a job's in but love the work style, processes, culture, and benefits?
Would you take an offer where there’s a lot of red flags about the company, the title is down leveled, but the money is better? For context, it’s not a creative role, I’d be the first woman on the team, there’s no bonus or 401K match, but the salary is $50K more than my current role. But there are so many red flags and the entire process was very chaotic.
I’m looking to shift over to freelance and never done this before in my career. Any tips? I’m mostly worried about expensive health insurance and unpaid days off. Thank you for your help!
Here a European from one of those communist countries who use taxes to have free ish healthcare and that. I'm about to move to the US and just realised that paid holidays are not a thing there. What's the deal? Some agencies better than others? Can I get days even if I don't get paid? So much to do outside of work, I need dayzzzz

I just learned that my current/soon to be former employer will terminate my benefits (medical, dental, vision, drug coverage, etc) as of my last day. Did the standards change?
Got approached by another agency (media) regarding a Director role. Somewhat nice client and benefits +30%, but when the offer came, salary and responsibility were as discussed but title downgraded to Associate Director. Hiring manager told me he got pushback against my years of experience, but they still went ahead with salary and task description of a director. Should I consider it?
Finance accidentally sent out everyone’s salary and 401k info to everyone.... they recalled it and asked everyone to delete but now I’m seeing I’m on the lower end of pay for my title/position.... can I use this as ammo for a raise?
What kind of cell phone/internet reimbursement programs do your organizations offer? Any WFH stipends or other COVID related perks you've seen? I keep hearing from sellers they get all these things covered but no one else in the organization does, yet we all have to work from home and pay for these things anyway... like I'd for sure have a phone and internet even if I worked in a different field, job, etc...

How can I become more “okay” with being an average performer? I’m two years out of school and have been considered a high performer so far, but it’s taken a toll on my mental health and I feel anxious most days. I’ve realized that the cost of being a high performer outweighs the benefits, and am trying to loosen up and be more comfortable with coasting on occasion... I’m what people may consider an insecure overachiever. Has anybody here ever had the same feeling?
Do people front load their 401k contributions? I put in 30% for the first 6 months and then prorate up to the max for the last 6. Also, anyone know a way where we can put an explicit $ amount in instead of percent? I'd like to be at $19,500 to the cent at EOY

Hey anyone willing to swing a referral for roles in change management consulting or healthcare consulting
My husband and I (both 27) max out our Roth IRAs each year, have a complete emergency fund, and I’m able to start maxing my 401K this year (he contributes 10% to his 401K - it isn’t possible for him to max his based on his current pay). We contribute 18% extra towards principal on our mortgage each month. We now have about $20k of additional savings we want to figure out what to do with. What would you recommend to someone who is new to stocks/investments?
How difficult is it to pivot out of healthcare? Applied to be a business analyst for current company (1.5 years in) but am more interested in different industries. Thoughts?
Laid-off 🐠: If you lost your job this month and contributed to a FSA or HSA, you have until Thursday (4/31) to spend those funds. It’s your pre-tax money, and will disappear if it’s not spend before then. This is something HR seems to fail to mention, and you may have several hundred dollars in that account.

Negotiating an offer for senior consultant EY cyber practice. Any insights on salary and sign-on bonus?
I've written on my resume that I'm a US Citizen (literally the first thing on the next line after my name) but literally every HR person I've spoken to recently immediately asks if I need visa sponsorship. Is it just something that ATS doesn't screen for usually? I'd hope a human is actually reading my resume. I don't want to be that person that says "yes, it's on my resume" lol
Anyone have any insight into the comp for TPM/PM role within security/privacy at google?

How are folks thinking about permanent life insurance? 45, making let’s say for example (not my exact numbers): $1M per year, not yet vested in pension. Was thinking need to replace the post tax take home, about $550k NPV’ed at 5% to age 55, so that’s like $3.2M. Maybe pension is worth $2.5M so I think that means I should have $5.7 total you want death to have no financial impact. Also was going to do $1M of that in perm w/ LTC rider. Sound right?
[Mostly Europeans]: Does anyone have a perspective on Revolut? There are abundant rumors about their culture being super intense and cutthroat - anyone has more insight and can confirm/ deny these? Thanks!
