Deep in interviews with a boutique firm that specializes in what my current practice (currently @ big 4) does. If I got an offer it would be a title upgrade C -> SC, and “in theory” a base pay increase of 30%. However, I don’t necessarily want to leave. I don’t mind where I’m at/who I work with. Want to use this as leverage to get a comp increase. How would I present it to mgmt? I know they won’t give me 30% or SC, I’m simply trying to use it as leverage for a raise. Thoughts?

The recruiter emailed me confirming the specifics, (salary, locations position title) which were in line with my expectations, and stated she’d go and pull together the approvals with senior leadership and contact me with the official offer. Currently SC at D, got an "offer" from Cisco G11 level Program Manager role. 7>yoe + master's in CS + Lots of cloud and agile certs. Interestingly, HR was not willing to provide any compensation package details before hearing what I want. Im super bad at negotiating, Any thoughts on how to approach this?
Unfortunately I already provided some numbers based on my other interviews and my current base and he was so surprised since I was stll willing to get a 15-20% increase lol

I’ve been interviewing for a position at EY . The role I applied for and was referred for is a Senior Consultant. However, when I’ve been receiving emails for interview scheduling confirmation I’ve noticed it only says Consultant. Is there a difference between Consultant and Senior Consultant at EY or are they the same? What’s the pay difference for both, if there is one? I just want to make sure they’re not trying to bump me down from the level I actually want to be considered for. Thanks!

Interviewed for a SC role within S&A at Deloitte but the team came back and said they feel more comfortable bringing me in as a C. The salary would be comparable to what I’m making now. So, my question is: is the D brand worth making a lateral move for? The place I currently work is not as “prestigious”, but all-in-all it’s a good company and I have incredible WLB for a Consultant.

EY Technology Transformation ($95K) or Deloitte S&O? Interviewing for the latter and seems like a Senior Consultant at Deloitte makes about $130K a year, if not more. This seems like it should be a no brainer, but I've been very loyal to the firm considering I've got amazing work-life balance and really happy overall with my experience here.

Interviewing with a few different firms for senior consultant level positions. Trying to come in on the higher end of the SC scale but not the responsibilities of manager.

I just had a first round interview with HR. It’s a large company with tons of reviews about what the interview process so I expected to get behavioral questions. In reality the person spent the first 10 minutes explaining what the role is not. They could not answer specific questions about the role and only asked me two specific questions about my current job and 1 behavioral question and then went into salary/benefits. Is it typical to still go over salary if they don’t expect to move forward?

If a Senior Manager / Director from a Big 4 wants to jump to MBB or T2 (think OW, Kearney, LEK), what level could they aspire for? Consultant is too many levels down, is Engagement Manager / Project Leader etc possible and if so, recommended? Or is the advice not to jump and stick till Partnership at Big 4?
