I just got an offer from IBM, before signing I would like to know what is it like to work in IBM? what are the negatives?

What do you think would happen if you settle somewhere in a job and then there's some kind of Covid variant outbreak there later this year? Would your company give you special resources/allow you to relocate if it's just your team? What if you're not comfortable staying there but there's no real restrictions? Thoughts on the Marcus Investment robo advisory rolled out by Goldman a few weeks ago? They charge low fees which is great, but I have a hard time seeing what makes it different than others.

I applied for a lateral job in a growing group that doesn’t have associates yet. I talked to a sr. associate in a different office/group to get a better sense of the firm’s vibe and we both really enjoyed our call. He kindly offered to recommend an interview to HR. Is there anything else I can do? I would be switching practices altogether so I want to be as proactive as possible to know what I’m getting myself into (and make my app more favorable because I really want to break into the field).

What is the obsession clients have with insane speed in M&A transactions to closing? I’m a senior associate and have never understood why they always want to go lightning fast (other than a few instances that were made very clear and made sense). Speed to the point where I see them wanting to sign when barely half the deliverables are in order/are with the other side for review/demanding the most illogical things be done at lighting speed to “sign yesterday!” Why?

If my company is deducting tax on reimbursements for example relocation, flight travel, mobile usage, etc. Then how to show in tax filing? bcoz as per my understanding it should not be taxable as I am using my money and company is refunding and no extra income. It's like I have already paid once and while refunding company again deducting. Please guide on this issue.
