EY recruiting is such a mess. Applied and did a pre-recorded video interview, heard nothing for like 3 weeks. Then I get a random call saying they liked me and would I be available to attend an interview the following day. I say yes but never receive an email or additional details. Call back the number and it goes to voicemail. The following week I get a rejection email. Just so frustrating EY

Depends on who wrote it. If it was run of the mill line partner probably not, I'm not interested in reading about anecdotes from some random person based on their personal experience. But I might consider it if it was a well researched book from a service line leader or similar written in conjunction with an expert on productivity, management, etc.
Fishbowl and r/accounting have been pretty instrumental for my career so far, but I guess a book can be nice

Like how to manage a team/be a good leader in public accounting? I probably wouldn’t read it as it is too niche to PA and would want something more broad that I can carry with me. That being said I’m sure there are people that would read it ( partners)
