Hey bowl,

I'm building a sales organization for a SaaS start up from scratch, and I want to encourage a constructive sales environment from the get-go. Things like supportive teamwork, life time deal with value, and similar.

How would you design incentive structures for sales roles that encourage people and teams to support each other while also making sales leading to growing ARR?

What have you experienced that works particularly well? What doesn't?

I already have the SHRM-SCP. . would it be a value add to go for the SPHR as well?

As a salesperson I generally take the approach of keeping my opinions to myself, if a customer asks me something directly I'm not going to lie to them I'll share what I believe in a respectful way. In other words I don't try to force my views on anyone, but lately our world seems to be more and more polarized on everything, and everyone is offered just by knowing you don't share the same views as they do they can't imagine their opinion isn't the only one. How are you handling these situations?

What's your favorite (or least favorite!) buzzword right now? I used to hate when people asked me if I had the "bandwidth" to do something, and now I use it weekly. lol

Working as a BDM in food service, been at conpany 8 months , salary is $95k base and $20k car allowance , bringing in large accounts, not sure if this is reasonable .
Work 6 days /week ???

Bosses that call you on the weekends "to get a jumpstart on next week" can go f#*k themselves.

It's not my fault you can't set expectations correctly or overpromise.

This work isn't worth killing yourself over.

Books to learn more about how to drive sales in consulting? Any recommendations?

What metrics do other firms use to measure performance of junior staff (for bonuses/promotion) -- client utilization, training completion, project performance, on time T&E reporting, etc.?

What do you feel is your purpose in life and what are you doing to achieve or contribute to it?

SHRM vs HRCI? I haven’t heard as much on HRCI HR Management certification. Do people ever get both? Does help to even have the certification from HRCI?

I am a SM hoping to make Principal. One of my development areas where I believe I can do better is Relationship Management and Sales. Any advice on courses, books, etc. to help improve?

I am sick and tired of watching Creatives I know over 45 be let go even when their clients love them. It’s really time for a class action lawsuit. 

Any other juniors out there who feel like the job market has been incredibly slow? Why is no one looking for juniors anymore? Everybody just wants freelancers lol. It’s been slow for so long now.

It makes no sense to me why front-load washers aren't constructed with more anchor points holding the wash basin on to the back, they always fail after a few years
