70 authors wrote an open letter to publishers urging them to not use AI production. I feel things will go to such an extreme, we’ll be desperate for authenticity- creative work with a human touch. AI revolution may be beginning, how long do you think the swing back will happen? https://www.npr.org/2025/07/03/nx-s1-5454736/more-than-70-writers-send-open-letter-about-ai-to-literary-publishers

I love that they did this. I think it is very important to spread the word on this and not use AI. The only way AI doesn't take over is if we don't let it.

Yes I feel this was more for public awareness and publishers were just put on notice. I’ve also read how authors make more of an effort to show or discuss work in progress to demonstrate authenticity.
Probably 10 or more years. I liken it to the rise of the internet era. We're just now getting to the point where people crave things that the internet temporarily killed off: handwritten letters, magazines, shopping in stores instead of online. I feel bad for anyone working in a creative field right now. The future does not look great for them.

It’s true that these revolutions have serious growing pains where it seems like it gets worse before it gets better. For creatives like myself, it’s a time for reinventing to stay relevant.

Interesting observation. I think there will be smaller pockets of human generated content like today some people appreciate live music being performed or are willing to buy hand crafted goods or furniture vs. stuff made by robots in a factory. I think about this though would a buy a car made by hand or buy on from a 100% automated factory with precision, accuracy and quality.
