Who was the last person promoted on the team and what made them stand out to be promoted?
I always ask for the 30/60/90 day outlook (goals, expectations) for the role, how work/life is balanced and how balance is encouraged, and in general, how much of my time can I expect in meetings.
All great questions!
How will you measure success for this position? What are some KPIs you’ll be looking into?
Is the immediate environment I would be potentially working in a quiet area where focus on tasks, or are people conversational/ social?
I ask this because I'm more of a quiet, nose-to-the-grindstone type of employee, and I value quiet. If I know that the setting is filled with chatter/ frequent activity/ subject to multiple distractions, then I know that I don't want to work there, and I can save everyone some time.
I'd have to believe it would be Zoom meetings, or Google Duo meetings, or the like. I work from home right now, and right now, it's been more of a we'll-meet-online- only-when- necessary basis. I genuinely love it. But the paycheck leaves a lot to be desired.
