Just heard that my district will have classroom and live-recording learning. I’m thankful because I now can feed my family, my newborn and a recent-sponsored wife! Just sharing! Landed in offer at AWS over five weeks ago and still waiting on a visa transfer update from US CIS. Can my license be renewed without the original extension petition? Or do I need to wait for the originals to come in. Trying to understand what do I need to carry to the DMV. Based in CA. I’m maxing out the 6th year for H1b and my I-140 just got approved. 1 month ago, my employer has filed a h1b extension but it is based on the approved PERM instead of the 140, and only asked for one-year extension. In that case, after 6 months (180 days i140 rule to avoid employer’s revoke), will I be able to switch employers even though the renewed H1b gonna expire soon at that time?

Has anyone experienced delay in getting physical copy of the H-1B approval notice? The USCIS portal says - the case has been approved. Is it safe to join new firm based on approval notification?

Immigration lawyers had sent me a questionnaire to fill out for Manager PERM. They now just came back saying that they need to assess me for a different position. Anyone else experience this? I wonder if this means they’ll now just file a Senior Perm instead? Asked them but they’re not very responsive.

Got a job offer from small consulting firm (<200 people) and they are ready to file my GC from day1. About to resign in next couple of weeks once I receive my h1 approval.
But Deloitte sent a notification that they are restarting Perm process. Currently with Deloitte - nothing has been filed. They have the JD and all the documents from my side but haven’t filed pwd yet. Stay or move out .?

I currently have my EAD based on my OPT with an addition 2 year renewal. I have also submitted a marriage based GC application in Nov 2021, did my biometrics currently waiting on my interview. I have an offer from a tech company and want to leave my current employer. I am worried if I tell my upcoming employer about being currently on OPT they will freak out and take back their offer even doh I can work and don’t need their sponsorship.
