A Stanford expert found that 71% of workers misjudge their AI skill level — not because they’re failing, but because no one taught them what “proficiency” really means. Most of us are using AI without guidance or feedback. The good news: a simple 30‑minute reset can close the gap. This shift isn’t about who survives — it’s about giving workers the support they deserve to grow.

A lot of people misjudge their skills as proficient. Fluffing your resume a bit and point-blank lying are two different things, but a lot of people seem to be crossing the two.
Thank you for sharing this. I know that I am nowhere near proficient when it comes to AI. I definitely have a long way to go with my skills.
I am right there with you. I have been looking for a new job for 6 months and have only had two interviews. Hang in there and keep applying, that is all we can do.
True and many are scared of using AI although the more you use it the more you get used to it and understand it is just a tool.
There are videos and etc. that can help someone learn how to use AI although those who are not flexible and adaptable to it and other advancements are just limiting themselves.
