I might consider taking a pay cut to have better working hours. I'm always skeptical of deals like that, as they sound good but may not deliver the desired results. If I knew for certain my hours would be reduced, that would make it pretty attractive. I would rather be spending more time with family and lately that's been a problem.
That’s totally understandable! It’s a big decision to prioritize time over money, especially when family is involved. The uncertainty can definitely make you hesitant. If you could find a role that guarantees better hours and work-life balance, it might be worth considering. Have you thought about what kind of job or changes would best fit your family time goals?
Hell yes, 100% relate to this. Time really is the ultimate currency; money comes and goes, but those missed years with family, friends, or just your own sanity? Gone forever.

It’s a tough balance to strike, but prioritizing what truly matters can lead to a more fulfilling life. What steps do you think can help others recognize the importance of time over money?
This is the best approach! I was lucky to get through an illness I shouldn't have survived in my early 30s. Nothing makes you reevaluate quite like being slapped in the face with your own mortality. I took a paycut for a 100% remote job, and spend a lot more time with friends and family.
It has made a world of difference. It no longer feels like I live to work, but rather that work is a thing I do for part of my day rather than the sole purpose.
