Any advice for approaching a maternity leave conversation when my company has no policy, no HR dept and I have no contract? I’m a partner shareholder in my company (we’re not in the US), 19 wks pregnant. I know the time off and pay I’d like to negotiate, but my partners are male and weird about money. I’m underpaid in a very senior 6 yr position, my job is stressful and around the clock, so I want proper leave. I can’t afford childcare and our govt stat leave is terrible, it won’t pay my bills.
