What courses or certificates would you recommend for someone who wants to learn how software works from a top-down approach?

My main goal is to understand how everything is connected, and why something is needed where it is needed.

Have you checked out Udemy? There are lots of courses on there and might be something you are interested in. I have taken several and they are really great.

Firstly - what is the purpose? Specific software functionality, data flows, or SDLC (development lifecycle).

Specific software - look for content on it.

If it’s data governance/management related - Are you looking for how data flows in (downstream) and out (upstream) of a system?
and what triggers the movement?
OR
Are you looking for how data is processed within a system?

^^ lots of content on LinkedIn, Udemy, Coursera, etc. on data management and governance.

If you’re looking for SDLC - also take a look at LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, Udemy, etc. to at least get your feet wet on the concepts. Not aware of any certifications on this.

ADHD medication with high Blood Pressure?

I found ADHD meds helpful when I worked in consulting in my 20s. I stopped the meds when I went back to school. Also have had High BP since late 20s. 15 years away, I am back in consulting and loving it, however my difficulties juggling so many projects/tasks is holding me back. I know I would benifit from some ADHD medication but my Dr won’t prescribe any with my history of BP (controlled with BP meds). Anyone else gone through this? Any tips?
