Yeah.. I think they find it a “sexy” title from a business standpoint - that or it builds on the narrative of business generally driving down wages by “improving belonging” instead.
Even as an HR person, bluntly.. I’m here to do a good job, build relationships and most importantly GET PAID. My bank doesn’t accept “belongingness” “vibes” or “pizza parties” as a form of payment. But they will take money 🤷🏻♂️

I find that people, across any age, culture or identity, want good pay and a sense of respect - that's it. Most people don't care for the "family" dynamic or forced fun that HR tries to impress upon people. They want to do a reasonable amount of work per day, get a thank you here and there, and make enough money to not worry about their livelihood.
