How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.

Also helpful to get dressed - you don’t necessarily need to put on a suit but it’s helpful to get you in the mindset. I find that setting up at my kitchen table or some other non-comfy place helps me stay in work mode. It’s hard though - give yourself a break and do your best!
Hmm. I usually struggle to go to work in the morning because of my commute. Opposite for me. I’d say go work at a local Panera/restaurant that’s work friendly. Ofcourse that all depends on how bad the weather is where you are.
The night before I will have a list of items that needs to be accomplished the following day. That list pushes me to get out of bed.
Get up and get dressed etc in the same normal routine I would if I had to go to the office. And wear shoes during the day. Idk why but it helps me focus
Try to make it the routine as similar to work as possible. Getting dressed, drinking coffee, sitting at a desk, check emails and plug in. Have to stay away from bed at all costs.
