I have 5 years of experience in 3D design & operations. I accepted the offer of 10L from Accenture to come on notice period (90 days). Now John Deere is offering 11.5L based upon Accenture office. Having global economic slowdown in consideration shall I take this offer? Accenture John Deere

Sorry to read this... I know precisely the feeling. A lot of times it's an internal process slowing things + withheld information (such a better fit they found) as well. The heartbreaking part is not the reject but rather the uncertainty
Have you thought about reaching out to a third party in the same agency to perhaps understand the internal context better?
I’m working on it where I can/that approach is viable (definitely a good shout if anyone else is in a similar boat reading this). But cards seem to be being held close to chests.
And I agree - it’s the lack of a “no”. Being a creative trains you to handle lots of “no”s, but silence/indifference stings!
It’s tough out there. Particularly for senior creatives. I’m finding there are absurd requests for things like ‘junior strategists’ that are really suited to senior folk, but stingy clients are praying on desperate freelancers willing to drop their rate and title so they can simply eat.
Yeah there’s definitely been a noticeable increase in job postings being for more junior/mid creatives.
And that also (partly*) probably explains why CDs are increasingly being expected to do the work. To safeguard with cheaper, junior talent.
(*Covid era seems to have removed a lot of would-be mid/senior talent.)
I know this sounds insane but I wish our industry had something similar to how actors have talent reps. Sure it’d come at a price but I can think of many who would find that money well spent
I can see that, especially as we move further into a gig economy
