Interviewing for a operational advisory associate position at a mid-market PE company based out of Florida. All-in pay is looking like $200k (for reference, it’s what I currently make as a senior associate) Anyone have experience working at a strategy consulting firm and moving to a PE advisory group? Any pros or cons you can call-out?

Are you working towards partner? If so what keeps you motivated to stay especially when there are exit opportunities to get paid more and work less in industry?
Do any descendants of the current big4 named partners hold any position of importance at their respective firm?
Is there anyway I can apply to a strategy position after being in risk ? Any suggestions to accomplish this ?

Thoughts about taking a position lower than the one I was let go with? (From planner to associate/junior). 5 mo unemployed, 8 mo planner-level experience
I’m a BigLaw IP lit associate and I’ve applied for an in-house lit counsel role at a tech company. I’m a 4th year and they’re looking for someone in my range to help senior lit counsel. I’m looking for more info on in-house lit roles, particularly at companies with big enough departments to have more junior lit counsel (although not so big that it’s an entire lit team). My hope is a little better balance and fewer nasty meet&confers. Anyone made this transition? Am I delusional re balance?
How can I pivot from working as an ad agency art director to a commercial director/DP? I’m trying to get on as much commercial production experience as possible in my current role to build up experience. I’m also doing a lot of side projects - I have a couple shorts in some no name festivals and am getting better on each project. My original thought was to work my way up to Creative Director and pivot from there but I’m not sure if that’s the correct route. Any advice is appreciated!!
Looking for new ways to keep technical skills sharp as I do not use them in my current consulting role. Specifically, looking for ideas to apply analytics/ds and financial analysis skills I had gained while in industry.
Got laid off from my first job after graduating college & living home right now with family. Not sure what direction to go. Was doing a structured finance role and not sure if this is something I still want to do. Any suggestions on other positions in Finance/ looking for areas with growth and potential.
Has anyone been in the position of looking for jobs while unemployed? How did it turn out, how long did it take, do you have tips? Better to take the 1st offer (involves compromises) / keep looking?
For those who have made the switch to Industry, at what level did you leave consulting/with what experience and for what role (e.g, SA to Manager)? Primarily talking to those individuals who left for Tech or another growth industry.
Anxiety kicking in over a job offer (SC2 -> FT250 Director role, exec level). As a veteran before grad school, I’ve never negotiated anything like this professionally. Any good resources?
Are the micromasters programs worth the time and money? Has anyone successfully transitioned into a different role after the program and what program did you complete? Looking to transition from Cyber risk to Data science/analytics track.
Living in Canada, planning to leave consulting within 5 years. Should I do an MBA? seems like it takes a lot of financial commitment (forgone salary) without much benefit. Any thoughts?
The Woke Left: Follow science, take reasonable precautions, and give everyone healthcare The High IQ Right: Bill Gates and George Soros are trying to chip us and inject the population with a vaccine, causing mass extinction while Donald Trump uses encoded messages to save the world from people like Hillary Clinton, who is running a pedophile ring out of a pizza shop as the government produces “weather weapons” and secretly puts chemicals in the water to turn its people and its frogs gay
Is it just me or does payer and provider suck right now? Tons on ppl on the bench and hearing of impending layoffs.
Has anyone been told a comp. number by a recruiter then receive a much lower one for their final offer?
I don't know about other Big 4's. But, - EY saved on earned leaves by directing no carry over - EY saved on virtual counselling sessions, virtual new promotions program and other virtual events - EY saved in electricity, water and other office consumable services - EY earned extra from Salary cuts - EY supplied zero WFH essentials - EY garnered extra profits and broke last year records So where the hell are the employee monetary profits? Feels like EY is mimicking PM cares fund. #PeanutBonus
The client decided that we will only travel in as necessary going forward. They liked that we were still able to deliver remotely and even help them transition to remote working. This is great but not
I have an interview with a CIO coming up, for a ~3,000 person SaaS company. What should I expect? Anything super technical? Product management role.
How high a base salary can go in a big bank? I’m not referring to the total comp (TC) but only base salary before bonus... I assume the highest it can go is up to the CEO’s base but, realistic speaking, what is the maximum i should expect or better put, dream as a potential base salary? I’m currently a SVP, it is somewhere between a VP and a director.
Hey F fish, how important is the guys job to y’all (I mean title + company). Is there a preference chart for - Big 4, MBB, FAANG/Tech moguls , Start ups?

What I don’t get is when firm leadership talks about inclusiveness but all they focus on is racism against African American. What about when African American discriminate against Asian? I don’t recall we have firm wide all hands meeting about that. https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/coronavirus/irate-subway-passenger-sprays-asian-man-with-air-freshener-over-coronavirus-concerns/2316216/ https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/briannasacks/teens-minnesota-kicking-asian-american-woman
Received an offer from Booz Allen as a data engineer. I have 2 years of experience with Deloitte and just got promoted to Consultant but with a very little raise bc of COVID (the commercial practice struggled and GPS had to pick up the slack). The offer is about a 30% pay bump. I'm hesitant to leave bc i have an AMAZING network at Deloitte and a couple of good project opportunities on the horizon. Anyone have advice or insight?
