I’m also a strat and always nervous about losing my job (nb I’m not at ogilvy). It’s a horrible feeling to oscillate between two states: stressful overwork and the fear of redundancy all the f***ng time.
If if happens again I really will throw in the towel of this god forsaken business. I love the practice of strategy and creative however we get paid pretty low and have zero security or work life balance. I know if I leave I’ll be replaced by some 24 year old Cambridge graduate, cheap, who’ll make his way to the top. And then the whole cycle repeats itself.

Not nervous, but I do feel guilty that I’m earning and saving while others in the industry have lost their jobs.
I used to love my job but now I’m really not enjoying it. Now the culture and fun is gone, I’m just making decks and talking to myself and blank screens on MS Teams.

Its base is 15L, and I'll be getting 124800 in-hand.

I have 3.5 yoe in typescript/react/NEXTjs fullstack. Out of which only 10 months are on a full time role, rest of time was freelancing.
I am also an open source contributor for some NEXTjs related tooling.
