Anyone feel like they are just going through the motions? Like you just get up and get through your day and then do it all over the next day?

Yes, it depresses me a bit because so much time has passed and I question what I'm doing with life and whether I'm content.

Check out nonprofit opportunities. They are not all basement wages, and it is possible to land a decently paying position at a place with a mission you care about.

Yesterday I watched a group of volunteers and older adults get ready to go on cemetery visits. It is very important to our demographic to visit the burial places of loved ones, and we have funding to send a volunteer with an older adult to local cemeteries by car.

I am not in direct program work, but seeing it happen gives me the get-up-and-go every morning.

What should a coder/biller/transcriptionist make with over 15 years of experience? I am currently the only person in the office that can do those jobs with no backup. I code and bill all office visits for 5 orthopedic providers and all surgical coding/billing for 3 surgeons. I also do any transcription that is needed.

P.S. not being disrespectful towards folks who have kids but we have learnt from experience that we are not at the same conversational plane with them.

I'm 32 and looking to make a career change. Previously I've been in sales, sales QA and some analyst position. I want to transition into learning programming and decided the best roadmap for me would be to learn Salesforce, land an entry level admin job and develop my skills over time to transition into programming.

How realistic is it to go from no computer science degree, to getting Salesforce certs and an admin role?
