Has anyone been to the IFS “Leadership Milestone Experience”? How is it? Worth attending?

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

Is it insulting to give a homeless person leftovers? I passed a homeless guy who asked for money, didn’t have cash on me so I offered my leftover pizza. He took it but people around me gave me looks. So wondering if it’s bad since it could be perceived as giving scraps?

Hi guys I am posting this again I have offer of almost same package from Accenture and IBM . Accenture offering is very slight more but that's not my key consideration. Which company is better in terms of job security, work life balance. That's the top most factor I am considering. Learning and project and latest niche technology is the other important factor after first 2 factors .

Yesterday only during their press meet they told that they have honored all the offer letters last quarter...and today itself you can see so many delaying and postponing of joining cases in this group only....there must be something very wrong or messed up.

Any tips on how to get out of IFS? I feel so trapped. I’ve been with the firm 6.5 years and had 4 roles trying to climb the ladder. 3 of the roles were SA. I’m tired of the lateral moves.

In general I am proud to work at PwC and with Leadership. But every now and then there is a big miss or blind spots Looking at recent Leadership changes one has to wonder how a first year partner ends up running Strategy, Mkting and Comm's for a 9B firm?

Does anyone else feel like instead of reviewing all the increased work we’ve been doing and releveling accordingly, the firm is just rewriting our current job scope to include the increased work?

Status of external hiring freeze for IFS? Still in place?

I was promoted to manager in Jan but received an offer with a 35% salary increase and much cheaper health insurance outside the firm. I am 85% sure I’ll take the offer, but wanted to see if anyone could think of acting I may be missing out on by leaving? FYI my inflation increase was larger than my promotion increase and my student loan payments also were stopped since I’m no longer an SA. I think what is holding me back is my guilt for my immediate team but just want to check.

Does PwC IFS has SM1 and SM2 levels or it is just SM. Recruiter told me he never heard levels/tiers with in a position (Senior Manager)
