Are there any good places to be right now in consulting? I am at Accenture, took a 6 month leave, seems like consulting will be irrelevant way faster than we originally thought. Inertia will hold things for a bit longer, but does anyone really think our fancy powerpoints and ‘smart problem solvers’ will be needed 5 years. now?

Advisors are not going away. Businesses will always need solutions and help. But I do believe firms who sell PxQ projects under a traditional leverage model with lots of junior arms/legs are at a huge risk.

Just keep selling in AI shatbots that highlight all the low level governance issues and / or risk exposing client data in a model so I can show your clients that they should invest in actual governance to get to where they want to go. The AI bubble bursting is everyone realizing they have to actually fix their backbone instead of pile on a bunch of flashy single purpose garbage that they've never actually governed. They go through about 6 months of panic after you lay it out for them, but they all seem to come back after you show them.
