It is better to forget that interview and go on.
Always do your best and the best will definitely reach you. Forget the rest.
Agreed.

Sometimes vice versa is also true, your interview went average and you still get selected. There's a bit of luck involved on what kind of interviewer you get.
My interview was done is 5 min for team lead position, What I think is I got selected primarily due to long working hours history and bit of same background. Although I rejected their offer due to Compensation
And i notice one more pattern in the rejection. Whenever the interviewer is young i mean around 6 to 9 yoe , they mostly rejected the same yoe candidate who have more knowledge or can be a competition for them. Did anyone feel that too.
For me, i gave interview @EPAM & HCL for healthcare profile
it went so well that i was sure i will get a call, infact the interviewer told me the same!
After 3 days, there was a rejection email🙄
Didn’t know at all what went wrong!
I answered everything… it was an easy one!
It happened many times for me recently with Walmart and samsung. I still don't know what went wrong , Where I made mistake . To be frank got many sleepless nights due to this rejection without a reason . But it happens something better was waiting always for everyone. Was able to sleep peacefully only after clearing another interview which gave self confidence and self belief.
Atleast getting a rejection mail is far better than being ghosted, even after the interview going well.
This can lead to many sleepless nights in anticipation of getting a response/feedback from HR.
And even after sending a follow up mail, not getting a response hurts more than a break-up 😂😪
Yes completing the communication is important on everyone's part. Be it the hiring person or candidate.
What i find more funny about this rejection is that i was rejected on the technology on which i have actually worked amd and in other interviews i m able to clear them on technologies which i have only theory knowledge
Hahaha feels so apt !!!
Lol , god knows what the interviewers are upto 🙄😂
Same thing happened with me at @Navarro . The interviewer gave a task and i was solving it. He said it is going to throw error. I said it won't. I excuted it infront of him and gave him why it worked. He doesn't have basic concepts of what he was asking and kept on asking internet questions. Day after I got rejection mail saying I am not suitable. I said same to you.. 😛
It hapens , experienced the same in tredence, Chennai location as well. The list in python and Scala has different properties . When I said the same he can't able to accept it , he wanted to prove that he is right. So he asked me to Google and check whether the list is mutable or not by sharing my screen. I showed him list are immutable in Scala and mutable in python .Then it touched his ego the result in rejection, even for that I have to follow up many times and HR has ghosted asusual then I left it. But in the end of day I learnt something new and was happy about it.
Same thing happened with me yesterday in LTI. Technical round was taken by some junior who is expecting only bookish answer and when I was explaining with example, he stopped me saying he is not interested in example, still I got selected but in managerial round, that lady didn't ask any technical questions and she rejected me saying lack of technical knowledge.
In my experience, the Indian recruitment process prefers the most convenient candidate over the best candidate.
Top convenient factors include:
1. how much is the candidate asking for
2. how soon can they join

This is true and for Managerial rounds of interviews, but the very first interview which happens with the technical person is very funny many times.
Ditto, I gave one interview of peer programming with Thoughtworks where I solved the challenge given and provided additional feedback only to know that I was rejected! On the other hand, heard some folks were selected even when there programs didn't compile..God knows what they were upto:)
Ahh...you knew too much..!!
Samething happened to me VMWARE, Nutanix
These kinds of posts are very important for mental satisfaction 😅😅
Exactly just to cross verify whether it's me who is facing this issue in the entire world
My gut feeling tells me you must've been overqualified for the role and they might have felt that you would do better off somewhere else with the exposure you hold. May not have been the right fit for that team at that moment.
Such a positive answer
It happened to me also several times, I think it's for the best because they have redirected you to some other place. I think there should be at least 2 persons on call during interview.
Yes, same experience i had with fractal analytics people. Worst experience obviously, chill. Better opportunity you will get for sure

Again samr thing happened this week for tiotevry. Tye interviewer asked questions on sql , solved almost all tye questions. And when i checked with the hr on the feedback, she said he rejected me because i dnt know ETL. Lmao , i told her he didnt ask me etl questions only sql, she said yeah he has mentioned u have good sql skills. Then she said he is on leave for a week and she cant do anything.😅
Same happened with me when i appeared for the interview with IRIS softwares. I cleared 2 technical rounds of interviews and then in Managerial Round of interview, interviewer just did the formalities in around 10 minutes. Next day when i contacted HR, she told me that the feedback was negative.
I tell you the actual things happening behind it.
HR people nowadays are crying that candidates are offer-shopping these days but they are not observing anything in their department. Suppose you appeared for interview in XYZ company having notice period as 60 days. HR arranged your interview and you successfully cracked all rounds of interviews but at the same day a candidate interview happened and he also cleared all rounds but he/she can join in 5-10 days.
Now you can clearly understand why you won't get offered.
Yes ,it was with me too
It happened with me for gartner
Happened to me with VMware
Exactly same with me in VMware, four weeks ago
Some Bulgarian guy
Happened 2 times at Faang companies for Sr. PM type roles - gave the interviews and thought I did pretty well. Few months later, I learnt that the profile they had selected had about 12 to 15 years of very specific and relevant work exp. Now, I have a Strategy Consulting profile and my overall read was that I needed to select a 'Where to Play' area i.e., industry and functional domain, unique experiences etc. And gain focused experience to remain competitive. Not sure how true this is for other profiles but felt this to be the case as you target the more generic strategy/ management roles
