If someone really wanted to stay away from those things, they would without feeling any FOMO.
Maybe it's my upbringing, but I've never felt FOMO for those things. I've even skipped those annual office parties. And even if I go, I usually hang out with a few of those like me in some corner, feeling good that we are the odd ones out.
