After 3 years of dealing with the worst firm I've ever had the displeasure of working for, I finally landed my dream gig at a small specialty firm. The people at the new firm are all SMEs featured in and contributors to the most notable business publications in the world, less than 100 employees, better benefits, unlimimted PTO, doubled my pay and landed a senior role. Keep looking for what you want and deserve. I'm happy to be forging a better path away from what I've had to endure.

It’s almost 4 AM and I have not been able to fall asleep. I have been very anxious for the last 2 months, and have tried journaling, meditation, listening to Tibetan bowls, therapy, etc. I feel frustrated because I have taken the “recommended steps” to deal with anxiety, but still I feel like I am not feeling any better. Have others also felt frustrated at their “lack of progress” in improving their mental health? I want to get better, but it’s just so frustrating. Welcome any motivation.

I'm a recent graduate and previously was very close to going to Wall Street. Even though mgmt consulting and banks attract a lot of similar people, I've noticed a HUGE difference in the culture of online communities for the two. Banking (WSO, Insta IB meme pages, etc) are all about money and prestige with a "fuck you" frat bro vibe, whereas consulting ones have a friendlier tone, less money/prestige focus and more liberal political beliefs. I just find this all interesting, any thoughts on it?
