I am about to be promoted to Media Supervisor and I am looking for a new job. I am interviewing for a Sup position at another agency and I’m pretty certain I am going to get it. How bad does it look
I've started my job hunt in earnest. Revamped my resume, been setting up informational interviews, getting emails from recruiters ... I'm so excited for the next step!
Stuck and need advice. Had been gearing up for a 3 day arbitration. I've done 70% of the work and senior partner just started stepping in as the hearing got closer. Also have my final interview for a new job this week and was told I'll have the offer. Plan was to put in notice, 2nd chair the hearing then start new job. Today, arbitrator postponed the hearing but without setting a new date. Want the new job, but feel bad leaving partner to do arb at some unknown point in the future. Thoughts?
I have an in-person interview on Wednesday. Can I wear a jean mask? Or should I wear something a little more formal?
How many rounds of interviews are normal for a small, independent agency? I’m in the process of interviewing for an associate account executive (entry level) position if that helps! I’ve had a phone screen and one virtual interview with the co-founders so far.
EY 🐠: Interviewed for a 1st round data role last Thursday. I thought the interview went well. I have yet to hear back from the recruiter and they haven't returned my email. Are they ghosting or still interviewing?
Interviewing with startups. What's the average amount of time from initial conversation to offer? Any other startup interview advice is appreciated as well.
I'm looking to pivot from consulting into tech. I've gotten lots of interesting from tech companies on the ops side but am much more interested in product management. Any advice on books or courses to help make the transition? I'm struggling to land PM interviews at companies that aren't tiny startups :(
Lined up for Accenture situational interview. What type of questions come up? Also what are these interviews for?
Hey, how to prepare for case interviews? Too many times I’ve been told I lack critical thinking.
MBB fish involved in on campus recruiting, are there any predetermined slots or caps for first round interviews, final rounds, and number of offers by office?
I’m turning down a higher role with higher pay (12% higher) solely because the HR team has been extremely unhelpful throughout the decision making process. From not getting responses for weeks, to consistently receiving “I don’t know, let me follow up” then not receiving follow ups, and everything in between. All of the interviews leading up to the offer was great, but then red flags started popping up making me feel very uneasy joining this company. Have you ever denied an offer because of HR??
I have an interview for social media strategist with a rising DTC startup in NYC. I’m feeling imposter syndrome, since I’ve never marketed such a big, hip company. What books can I read or courses can I take to come into the interview solid and prepared? Most of my marketing theory is based on Seth Godin books and reading psychology.
Google interviews - is everyone who makes it past each round on the same playing field? Or do they let people through who are second tier in their eyes?
Has anyone interviewed with Google for a loan staff? What kind of questions should I expect? It’s a PMO role in Tax area. Unsure if I should expect out-of-the-box questions as a 3rd party vendor...
Is it significantly easier to get into Accenture Strategy at the SC/M level right now? What can I expect thru the interview process?

A Deloitte AM&C (Advertising, Marketing & Commerce) recruiter reached out to me today to schedule an interview. Can someone provide some insight to the Team and Deloitte’s culture?
I need INTENSIVE case interview coaching. (probably 10-12 weeks of daily sessions). Where should I look and how long should I be casing before submitting the application? I’m especially concerned about spending $5,000 just to get dinged at the resume stage. Any tips on how to navigate that?
Looking to do a 4 or 5 day trip from San Fran to LA on the PCH. I would love some recommendations on itinerary, activities, places to stay, and food!
“Per diem” meal expenses are EXPLOITATION. $50 is not enough for a single meal at a hotel restaurant, let alone an entire DAY for food. Shifting travel costs onto your employees = evil. Yes i mad :<
I worked hard at a small agency and was promoted from AE to AS after only 8 months in the industry. I had to leave and found a contract position as an AS at a large agency. I am finishing my contract and my boss offered me a permanent position, but wants me on as an AE. I am open to the AE position, but they are unwilling to compromise on the AE salary which is a substantial cut from my salary at my former agency and 45% of my contract pay. What do I do? Do I leave if I feel I deserve more?
5th year associate thinking about transitioning in house. Still have student loans. Has anyone gone from big law comp to in house and regretted the decision (because of the pay cut)?
How might our nation reconcile its “dire” teacher shortage? How would you do it, given the opportunity?
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
Serious question though: what would it take to make a secession happen? Can there be a referendum or something? It’s clear that the country is so divided that I don’t know if it makes any sense to keep the union.
I’ve been laid off and, as I embark on my job search, I’d like to keep my marketing skills sharp. Any recommendations on must read books, or resources?
Is your organization planning to require employees be vaccinated? I understand why management wants this but concerned about losing good employees because they don’t believe in vaccination or are wanting to wait until more people have been vaccinated to see if there are issues with it. I’m also concerned with moral if we require this. Employees may get it to keep there job but hold on to some bitterness or develop anxiety over it. Am I being too soft or over analyzing?
How do I quit coffee?
Settle a debate for my friend and I: does your firm (MBB, Tier 2, Big 4 etc etc) drug test new hires for non-federal roles?
Hi Fishes! All help appreciated I received an offer from my dream co. - McKinsey. Have another discussion with HR for comp. & joining details, once I accept the offer. I want to join after 4 months (2m of notice period at Deloitte & 2m I want for personal self). How do I take that up? How much deferral of joining is normal? Suggest some reasons (something that sounds genuine | Honestly want to sit home for 2 months and relax, but not sure if HR will accept it) Share experiences if anyone?

What firm are you at and what are the maternity leave benefits? We only get about 3 months using parental leave and short term disability paid at 100%.
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
