It’s called ageism. Unfortunately it’s a shallow perspective. But there are folks out there not bowing down and continue to move forward no matter what others think or say.
I’m 62 and going back to school for graduate degree and am writing. Currently I’m in a AI business strategy class and loving it!! I’m NOT stopping until I want to. Learning rocks!!

These stories show that ambition and perseverance can lead to success at any stage in life. Which one resonates with you the most?
But my point is people rarely acknowledge or talk about their success.
For example society will go gaga over a guy who reached VP level of a startup at 35. He will also get sympathy if he gets laid off at 45 and never get a job at that level.
On the other hand someone reached VP at 55 and retired as SVP(growing slowly without layoff). People somehow disregard this slow success.
