Attention to closing matters
Me too. If you are just facilitating the deal closing all day long, then I think it is totally fair.
I’ve definitely done that - but it depends on what you’re doing. If I’m managing the closing or coordinating document finalization all day, absolutely. If you’re not actively working, but available to help out if the more senior lawyers need you, probably not.
I do that mostly, but if I step away for a period of time or the deal traffic slows for more than 5-10 minutes I stop it. Usually to start it right back up lol.
I've been there.
You are bound by your state’s attorney ethics laws. You should turn your timer off when you are not actually working g on the deal. That’s basic.
Pause your timer when you’re not working.
What do you put as your task narrative for the day?
